The assignment: Create a shadow with candles and photograph the shadow.

Maybe because it was the "wee hours of the morning" or maybe I don't have a clue as to what I am doing, but this attempt is poor at best.

Today is July 25 and just in case you are wondering, Christmas is only 5 months away!!

"So many books - so little time"

Lots and lots of buttons!

Everything from (you guessed it) more flower images and dandelions to barbs in a barbed wire fence.

As the dew was quickly disappearing, I decided to try to capture some water droplets
(not a very good job, but I tried). I could not resist one more flower picture.

The fruits (and vegetables) of summer.
I tried to make the watermelon bowl look "frosty".
(Getting ready for a picnic).

My flowers are blooming and my vegetables are growing! Before long, I will be using some of these tomatoes to make spaghetti sauce!

The assignment: Choose a color.
I chose Blue.

To some people, this is an ugly old stump. To my kids, it is what remains of "Grandpa's cherry tree", which happens to be in my backyard. It was never really his tree - he would come and pick cherries, so to the kids it was his tree. Most people would either burn the stump or dig it out, however I just can't do that, so next best thing - turn it into a memory spot. What better way to do that than to use an old tractor seat - I just haven't quite figured out how to complete the task. The tractor seat has finally been sanded, primed and freshly painted (still hanging to dry).

The theme of the day was red - everything from roses -not for me:(
to old tractors.

I know this isn't the assignment, but had to take this. As I was walking past my kitchen window, I spotted this beaver in the field next to my house!! Just opening the door spooked him, so I only got one picture from very far away. I never saw a beaver in this field before -

A gentle rain, a peaceful porch, a favorite chair and some flowers. A nice moment in a hectic day!
