It is said that when you heat with wood, you are twice warmed.
Once when you cut, split and stack the wood and once when you burn it.
This is my woodpile that was delivered last week.
I am looking forward to being warmed the second time, but definitely not the first!!

I traveled about 200 miles away yesterday to attend a family wedding. This was the main course at the reception!! It was good and I had a great time!!

A good friend gave me "Rockin Robin" and it sits on my desk at work.
It even sings and tweets!
Did I mention that I am very afraid of birds???
I think that he is trying to get me to face my fears!!!

"Car Parts"

The minute I got this assignment, I had an idea.
Remember that little game where you move tiles around until you get the image? I tried to recreate that (I did forget to add a blank space that should be there if it were the real thing). I took the pictures yesterday, but the creative part took place today!

My "moo" neighbors! (I decided to try one image with sepia).

The candle is burned down and you can't see the flame, but it is still there. I added a soft focus to this also. I had no idea what to photograph today and then I received the following quote in an e-mail.
"Light Tomorrow with Today"
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
To me it meant, take everything good that happened today and start your tomorrow with that. I am not sure if this is the meaning or not, what do you think? The soft edges just mean don't be so hard on yourself (a lesson I must learn.)

Happy Mother's Day

One day, when my children were little, my daughter found a stone that was heart shaped. She picked it up and said it was a Mother's Day gift for me. My son, not to be outdone by his big sister, found a shiny stone (he was sure that it was filled with gold) that he presented to me. Those treasures were placed on a shelf in my kitchen and still sit there (they are more precious than gold.)

If we could only capture the smell!!

I thought that this was going to look much better - the camera thought differently (I would not like to think that the photographer didn't do a good job!) I will admit, some things just don't work!

They are back!!

I was going to tell you what all these are, but it's more fun to make you guess!

I think that I will always be a farm girl!
