I have been painting my kitchen all day today and decided I needed a break, so grabbed my camera and thought I would take a walk. I only got to the other side of my driveway and these cute guys were just begging me to take their picture!

Such sad eyes! Both kids are away from home for a few days (can't remember when they were both gone at the same time) and the dog is sooo sad - me too!

I am not sure who said this:
"You can't really understand another person's experience until you have walked a mile in their shoes".

This has been "one of those weeks"!
Actually, I just liked the blue and the reflections in the bottle!

Things that make me happy - -
-A pot of tea (note - the frame is really green and apple is red on the trivet, I played with some editing).
-Playing my piano.
Something that makes me sad - -
-Not being able to spend the evening with my friends - I hope that you all had a GREAT time!

Sometimes it is hard to determine ages. The older of the two is??? The tractor or the people looking at the tractor???

Many years ago in history, today was designated Flag Day.
Many, many, many years later, it also became my day and since it is "my day", this swing is just calling my name.

I love to walk in the woods - but this seems more like a jungle!!!

An early birthday gift for me from a wonderful friend.
Under those beautiful flowers there is a candle and the "Friendship" figure below is something I will always treasure.
Thanks again!!!

I mixed up the day when the assignment was due and glad that I did because I would not have gotten yesterday's picture today.
I had a meeting after work today and instead of meeting in an office or at a work location, we all decided to meet for ice cream and an outdoor meeting!!
It was SOOO good!!!

Today's assignment: "Broken, But Beautiful". Today, I feel a little "broken" myself, however I do not fit the beautiful part. Maybe broken is the wrong word - more like forgotten or unappreciated, but I can relate!
When I saw this beautiful flower, I knew I had the perfect answer for the assignment. It is perfect except for the broken stem, so I might look past it (forgotten it or not appreciated what it could be) if I were picking flowers for a bouquet. The first 2 shots are a beautiful flower and the third is still a beautiful flower, but with a broken stem. Broken, yes; Beautiful, definitely!
I think that I will go bring it inside to float in a bowl and enjoy not only its beauty, but its aroma.

What am I???
Last Fall, I received a wonderful gift of plants.
Someone was thinning out their garden and gave me some of the plants. I know that if I just wait and see, I will have some beautiful flowers and then I will know what they are. At this point, I have no idea. I do know that my poor garden needs some TLC and very much needs some rain.

Sunshine peeking through!

When I first got this chair, it didn't have a back or seat. My Dad taught me how to "rush" and worked with me to finish it, so needless to say this chair holds some great memories. My Aunt told me it was called a sewing rocker and I heard from someone else that it was called a nursing rocker. It really doesn't matter to me because it is my rocker.

I changed my mind about posting the picture I took today so I edited one of my previous photos.
I love this picture - it is just looks so peaceful to me.

An Illusion:
This swing looks as if it is sitting on the ground, but it really isn't.
It still works and in fact is still used at times!

"Do you have time"?
What a simple question and yet one that will haunt me forever.
Years ago, someone asked me if I had time to talk and I said no, I really didn't.
We'll talk tomorrow was my answer.
That tomorrow never came for him.
The quote on the watch below is:
"We do not remember days, We remember moments"
I wish the moment that I remember was a better one.
When I begin to think that I have too much to do and can't stop for a minute to talk,
I remember that moment and all the "other things" become un-important.
My answer is, Yes, I have time.
