What a great illusion--they really do look like they're sitting on the ground. I love those kinds of swings--hate the newer ones that are just a strap of leather that squishes you when you're sitting on it.
Your images bring back memories of when I used to swing all the time growing up in the Bronx.
I can tell it's still used because of the grass not growing beneath it. I like the illusion very much though:)
